Executive Director, Carla Harry
Born in Texas and raised in South Oklahoma City, Carla built a successful career in banking and finance before founding her own small business. She studied at Oklahoma City Community College and is completing her Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance online at the University of Central Oklahoma. Known for her quiet confidence and ability to get things done. Recognized by The Journal Record’s 2025 Achievers Under 40 and named one of Oklahoma’s Top Hispanic Leaders in 2024 by the Hispanic Institute, she blends nearly two decades of experience with a genuine passion for empowering. Carla enjoys helping small business owners grow with clarity, strategy, and financial insight. Her love for community, business, and culture fuels her vision and positions her to be an exceptional Executive Director. Outside of work, Carla enjoys time with her husband, Paul, and their two cats, Fearless and Picasso, family cookouts, and appreciating Oklahoma’s natural beauty.
The SW 29th District | La 29 is a vibrant and diverse commercial corridor in the heart of OKC’s Latino community, spanning over three miles along SW 29th Street from S. May to S. Shields. The SW 29th District Association, Inc. is a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting growth, development, and improvement for the district and its surrounding community. La 29 was established to provide a collective voice for the SW 29th Street business district, set strategic goals, and implement programs that enhance both commerce and community well-being.
